The Tata Tiago had recently received model-year updates across its variants. The humble Tata hatchback also has an NRG version – what is meant to be a slightly sportier version of the standard model. While the Tiago NRG may not be as popular as the regular model, Tata has quietly rolled out a few updates to this variant. If you’re wondering what’s new, we’ve detailed that below.
Design
The Tata Tiago NRG is subtly updated with a little more ruggedness. Upfront it features a redesigned bumper with extensive matte black cladding and a new thick silver skid plate.

From the side, the new Tiago NRG sports thick body cladding. It also gets an infinity black roof with integrated roof rails which actually looks quirky with a more adventure-ready look. It gets the same 15-inch alloy wheels though as the standard model.

At the rear, it gets a muscular tailgate with a similar thick silver skid plate like in the front and thick black claddings. It also comes equipped with a shark fin antenna and the NRG badging placed on the right side of the connected black panel between the taillights.
Interior And Features
Inside, the Tiago NRG comes with a blacked-out charcoal-themed cabin. The seats, dashboard, and other interior elements are all finished in black. It also has the illuminated Tata logo on the two-spoke steering wheel, which is now a common sight inTata cars, adding a plush touch to the cabin.

In terms of features, the updated Tiago NRG comes with a new floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, a push start-stop button, auto-folding ORVMs, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, rain sensing wipers, auto-folding ORVMs and steering mounted controls.
For safety, it retains features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and also has a rear parking camera now.
Powertrain
The 2025 Tata Tiago NRG remains unchanged mechanically and continues to be offered with the familiar petrol and CNG powertrain options.

The Tata Tiago NRG is now priced from Rs 7.2 lakh to Rs 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the fuel type and transmission combination you choose. It rivals its usual competitors like Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
While the updates to the car may not be groundbreaking, they were rather essential to keep it relevant in an increasingly competitive market. Without these changes, the model risked fading into the background. With these necessary changes, it can hope to attract more buyers now, though only time will tell if it gains the popularity it needs.
