A Design Partnership That Shines

A great designer-client partnership transforms an ordinary project into something extraordinary. For Dr. Jamil and Sana Shaikh, teaming up with Revive Design and Renovation to revamp their kitchen proved to be just that. The design team’s expertise brought their vision to life, but the Shaikhs also have plenty to say about their journey through the process.

What brought you to Revive?
From the first consultation, we felt comfortable. It was clear they valued our vision and were genuinely interested in bringing it to life. We also appreciated their transparency about pricing and timelines, which gave us peace of mind that there wouldn’t be surprises along the way.

What made the company a good fit for your needs?
We had a clear idea of what we wanted, but we needed a company that could translate it into reality. They listened carefully to our preferences and offered a high level of customization. Instead of one-size-fits-all solutions, they focused on the specific details we cared about, whether it was materials, layout or design elements.

How was the design process?
The design process was highly collaborative. The end result exceeded our expectations because of the strong focus on communication, flexibility and a shared vision.

The Shaikhs’ glowing feedback highlights the collaborative creativity behind their kitchen transformation.

Lena Khoja, Director of Interior Design at Revive Design and Renovation, shares insights on bringing their vision to life.

What’s your design process?
When designing a kitchen, my focus is always on creating a welcoming, personalized space that meets the client’s needs while remaining aesthetically pleasing.

What was your vision for the space?
I aimed to create an organic, nature-inspired kitchen that feels open, bright and spacious. The goal was to craft a high-end design that isn’t overly bold, but instead evokes a sense of calm and relaxation, allowing the client to step into their “inner chef” and prepare incredible meals.

How did you make the design unique?
I incorporated elements like Taj Mahal Quartzite for the countertops, sink and backsplash. The cabinetry is a light wood tone with natural variations, bringing warmth and texture to the space. By extending the cabinets to the ceiling, we achieved a dramatic effect while also adding extra storage for seasonal items.

This collaboration between the Shaikhs and Revive Design and Renovation beautifully illustrates how a shared vision, open communication and expert craftsmanship can transform a space into something truly remarkable.
