Previously announced to launchNew OriginOS Ocean operating interfaceLater, vivo officially announced today (12/9) that this model is based on OriginOS 1.0, and adds more interactive experience design, while adding more simplified operations, allowing users to use mobile phone functions in a more intuitive way.

According to vivo, OriginOS Ocean adopts many “atomic” concept designs, which means that various operations will be interactively linked and more traditional functions will be given a brand new experience.
For example, when you want to listen to music, you can call up the Atom Walkman function at any time, and you can customize the operation interface. At the same time, the music panel can change according to the type and playback status. It is also further integrated with QQ Music, Kugou Music, NetEase Cloud Music and other services to bring a more complete music experience.
In the atomic reading part, a simulation of the real page turning effect of a book is added. In addition, the reading layout, character spacing, color, background and other contents are optimized. At the same time, users can use content marking, breakpoint resumption, or pre-loading functions to make digital reading easier.
In addition, the camera function has been added with intuitive gesture adjustments such as up and down, left and right sliding, which can quickly change the image color saturation, hue, etc. The focus system has also been added with a level, anti-shake, focal length, exposure and other information, allowing users to more easily judge the current shooting status. Even models with Zeiss lens design will provide Zeiss natural color performance.

The “atom” concept design will also be incorporated into the home screen operation part, making the gadgets and apps placed on the desktop more convenient to use. At the same time, the phone lock interface will be given more customized designs, and push messages will appear in the status bar in the form of capsules, allowing users to browse important information more intuitively.
The underlying system has also been optimized to significantly improve the smoothness of OriginOS Ocean’s operation. User data privacy has been divided into five levels to minimize the tracking of user information, allowing users to adjust at any time and further strengthening security checks for application modes such as biometrics and financial payments.
In addition to enhancing interactive productivity on mobile phones, vivo also emphasizes reducing the restrictions between mobile phones and computers in OriginOS Ocean. This includes strengthening mobile data synchronization and collaborative work applications, making it easier for users to synchronize mobile phone content with computers, or push computer content to mobile phones for use.

In other aspects, OriginOS Ocean has further strengthened health services, and has also rebuilt many traditional mobile phone functions to give the operating interface a brand new experience.
Vivo will initially make the update available for download to users participating in the OriginOS Ocean internal beta test. The official version will be available starting December 12th for the X series Pro and Pro+ models launched in the past two years, as well as the S series and iQOO series flagship models. More Vivo phones will be updated later.
However, it is currently unclear whether vivo phones in overseas markets such as Taiwan will also follow suit or will continue to use the overseas version of Funtouch OS.
